Tuvelan uses College Scorecard earnings data, IPEDS cost data, BLS occupational projections, and Monte Carlo simulation to help you find the school and major combination that actually delivers the best financial return -- net price, earnings trajectory, loan burden, and all.
The Problem
Every year, millions of families choose colleges based on rankings, brand prestige, and campus feel. But college is a financial investment -- often $100K+ -- and not all degrees deliver the same return. A computer science degree from one school can have an IRR of 28% while the same degree from another school might be negative. The sticker price tells you almost nothing because financial aid varies wildly by income bracket and institution.
Our Approach
We ingest net price data from IPEDS, graduate earnings from the College Scorecard API, occupational wage projections from BLS, and regional cost-of-living from BEA. For each school+major combination, we run a Monte Carlo simulation of 10,000 earnings scenarios calibrated to real graduate outcomes. The result is a complete financial picture -- NPV, IRR, payback period, loan burden, and economic mobility -- so you can choose the option that matches both your goals and your budget.
