These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tuvelan (the "Service"), operated by Smart Technology Investments LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tuvelan, you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with them. Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian review these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Tuvelan uses publicly available data from the College Scorecard API, IPEDS, BLS, Census ACS, and BEA to help consumers evaluate the financial return on investment of college education. The Service provides net price calculations, earnings projections, NPV/IRR analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, loan repayment modeling, and economic mobility scores. The Service is informational only.

3. Not Financial or Career Advice

Tuvelan is not a licensed financial advisor, career counselor, or educational consultant. The ROI analyses and earnings projections provided are based on publicly available data and statistical models. They do not constitute recommendations to attend, transfer to, or decline any specific institution or program.

You should always:

Verify net price and financial aid directly with each institution
Consult your school counselor or financial aid office for personalized guidance
Understand that past graduate outcomes do not guarantee future earnings
Consider non-financial factors in your college decision

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Our projections are derived from College Scorecard, IPEDS, BLS, and Census data that are updated on their own schedules. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of data derived from third-party sources.

Earnings projections are probabilistic, not guarantees. Individual outcomes depend on GPA, internship experience, geographic location, economic conditions, career choices, and many other factors not captured in aggregate statistics.

5. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful personal or commercial research purposes. You agree not to:

Reproduce, resell, or sublicense our analysis outputs without a commercial license
Scrape or systematically extract data from the Site beyond API rate limits
Represent our data as official government data or as professional financial advice
Attempt to reverse-engineer our optimization algorithms or scoring methodology
Use the Service to discriminate against any person in violation of applicable law

6. Credits and Billing

Tuvelan uses a per-report credit system. Credits are purchased as one-time payments (not subscriptions) via Stripe. Single reports cost 1 credit ($12), report packs provide 5 credits ($35), and API credit packs are available for developers and counselors. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. API Access

API subscribers receive access subject to rate limits specified in the API documentation. API credentials are non-transferable. You are responsible for securing your API keys. We reserve the right to suspend API access for abuse or excessive usage.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, analysis methodology, software, and compiled data outputs, is owned by Smart Technology Investments LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The underlying government datasets are in the public domain. Our original expression, analysis, and methodology are proprietary.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMART TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or prominent Site notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Smart Technology Investments LLC with respect to the Service.
